Sakura

Welcome to Sakura: Giving Back’s Broughty Ferry café. Here we believe in fostering connections, serving delicious food and empowering our community. This is a developing project and is in need of support through funds, volunteers and services to assist in the development and growth of the project.

Overview

At Sakura we aim to create a warm and inclusive space for people with our cosy ambience, friendly staff and delectable menu. We want to invite you to relax, socialise and enjoy a cup of coffee or our seasonal specials.

Development to date

Giving Back is in discussions with Dundee City Council regarding the lease of the building in Dawson Park. We are working with architects to design a welcoming building to not only provide a space for socialising with friends and family but also to enable services from Dundee to come to Broughty Ferry and provide support such as benefits advice, housing advice and advocacy among others.

There is a lot to do as you can see from the pictures. However our team are determined to work with the community and funders to make this a reality. If you would like to see this vision come to fruition, please consider making a donation or joining our community.

Sakura Café will be situated in Dawson Park working collaboratively with SAMH’s Chrysalis project. We can’t wait to begin this exciting adventure with everyone.
